Illegal poaching has decimated rhino populations across Africa, and in South Africa, white rhino is classified as “near-threatened” merely to meet the demand of spurious medicines made from rhino horn.
At Lombardini Game Farm where the Kouga Rhino Sanctuary is located, these devastating attacks has left our herd of 19 with only 3 cows left to show – after the mutilation of our beloved Hope, our hand has been forced to make rhino conservation a star-priority in our region. As part of our conservation efforts, and to raise awareness about these beautiful animals, we allow our guests to get up close and personal with our 3 precious girls – Brittany, Tiffany and Amanda. This experience will leave a giant rhino footprint on your heart, as you get to touch a white rhino in real life!
